W ażną częścią zielonego pierścienia Warszawy są lasy. Lasy, które inicjatywy lokalne walczą, aby powstrzymać nadmierną eksploatację. Bo przecież to one są naszymi sprzymierzeńcami w kroczących zmianach klimatu. To one m. in. zatrzymują wodę, pochłaniają dwutlenek węgla, filtrują i ochładzają powietrze. To w nich najlepiej odpoczywamy i uprawiamy sport.

Manifest organizacji i ruchów społecznych

Dlatego cieszymy się, że powstał Manifest Leśny. Jego twórcami są Fundacja Dziedzictwo Przyrodnicze, Greenpeace, Lasy i Obywatelki, Ogólnopolskie Towarzystwo Ochrony Ptaków, Pracownia na Rzecz Wszystkich Istot, Eko-Unia, Monitoring Obywatelski Drzew, Inicjatywa Dzikie Karpaty. Ponadto już ponad 200 inicjatyw w całej Polsce również podpisało ten dokument.
